The football icon has spoken about the joy and transformation he experienced when he embraced fatherhood for the first time. Now raising three kids, he takes immense pride in fatherhood and appreciates his wife even more.
Carson Wentz stepped into fatherhood for the first time during his tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles. Today, he and his wife, Madison Oberg, are proud parents to three young daughters, one of whom bears a resemblance to him.
One of his proudest roles is being a father, but his journey as a professional athlete has also shaped him in profound ways. Selected second overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2016 NFL Draft, Wentz quickly made his mark.
During his five seasons with the team, he earned second-team AP All-Pro honors and a Pro Bowl selection in 2017. That year, he led the Eagles to an impressive 11-2 record before a knee injury in Week 14 ended his season.
Though sidelined, he remained deeply involved, attending media events, reviewing film with teammates, and even throwing pregame passes before Super Bowl LII. Wentz’s leadership helped Philadelphia secure its first championship with a 41-33 win over New England. While others took center stage, he chose to celebrate quietly with teammates.

During that period, he proposed to Madison Oberg and shared the news on X with photos. “She said YES! And now Maddie and I both got us a ring, can’t wait to marry my best friend! God is doing some amazing things and I can’t thank him enough!” he wrote.

Being a dad not only altered Wentz’s priorities but also required adjustments to his daily routine. “I don’t know if I ever had a perfect balance or have it all figured out when it comes to time management with work and life and extracurriculars, hunting, those types of things I enjoy, on top of family time,” he shared.

Off days became more important, and he prioritized giving his wife time for herself. When fans saw social media posts of him with Hadley on those days, it was likely dedicated father-daughter time.
Wentz embraced household duties, grilling often and learning parenting tasks, including changing diapers. As a first-time dad, Wentz appreciated Hadley’s easy sleep habits but still spent nights soothing her. Despite the exhaustion, he valued those late-night moments, recognizing their importance.
As Wentz settled into fatherhood, he continued learning and adapting to the role while cherishing the small but meaningful moments. He was still figuring out his strengths as a dad and the areas that needed improvement, but one moment stood out—Hadley’s first laugh.

Each milestone brought joy as Wentz’s family grew. He and Oberg welcomed their second daughter, Hudson, in 2021, followed by their youngest, Hayes, in 2023.
Announcing their third child’s birth on Instagram, he expressed gratitude for being home at the right time and praised his wife’s strength. “So thankful for my incredible wife and all she does for me and our 3 girlies! She was a rockstar once again!” he wrote.
Over the years, Wentz has frequently shared glimpses of his family life on social media. Fans have responded with enthusiasm, often gushing over his growing family—especially the kids.

As time passed and their family expanded, Carson Wentz and Oberg’s bond continued to strengthen. In July 2024, the couple reached their sixth wedding anniversary, and Wentz acknowledged the milestone on social media.
He called Oberg the love of his life and said he and their daughters were blessed to have her. Describing their journey as a wild adventure, he also referred to her as the best.
