Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced the launch of an international ad campaign on Monday, urging illegal immigrants to “self-deport and stay out,” according to the agency she runs.
“Leave now. If you don’t, we will find you, and we will deport you. You will never return,” Noem said in one version of the ad, the Washington Times reported. In a message directed at individuals outside the U.S. considering illegal entry, Noem advised against attempting it. “Don’t even think about it,” she said. “We will hunt you down.”
The campaign features images of individuals, presumably targets for deportation, with the word “ARRESTED” prominently displayed.
The Department of Homeland Security stated that the ads will be broadcast in “multiple countries and regions in various dialects.” Additionally, the messages will be distributed via social media and text messaging to reach both illegal immigrants currently in the U.S. and international audiences, according to the department, the Times reported.
Noem and President Trump are backing their tough stance with significant actions. Border numbers have dropped to their lowest levels in decades, and deportation officers are increasing their arrests of illegal immigrants in the interior.

Immigration groups criticize the president’s successes, arguing that they come at the expense of deporting some undocumented immigrants who have families and no criminal records. Trump’s team has stated that he is prioritizing the deportation of illegal immigrants with criminal records, but anyone in the country without legal status is still subject to deportation.
Meanwhile, Trump border czar Tom Homan is furious after details involving a planned Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid in Aurora, Colo., were allegedly leaked.
Homan provided more information about the purported leak during an interview Thursday with Fox News host Harris Faulker and was clearly not happy about the incident while also vowing to act in response.
“We’ve already identified how this operation got leaked. I’ll deal with that today,” Homan said.
He added that ICE is working closely with the Department of Justice and that Homeland Security may start prosecuting those who get in the way of the agency’s operations. “This is not a game. This a dangerous job,” he said. “To have this top of interference puts the officers at great risk.”
The leaked operation comes as some Democrats also appear to be overtly interfering in ICE’s operations.
Democrat New York Rep. Dan Goldman is among those who are under scrutiny for how he advised people to avoid the agency’s raids.
“Every New Yorker has rights when they interact with immigration enforcement,” he said in a post on X. “No matter what the next four years bring, stay informed, stay safe, and stay together.”

“No matter what the next four years bring, stay informed, stay safe, and stay together,” he said in the caption of a video he shared.
“The Trump administration has carried out deportations, raids all across the country, including here in New York City,” he said in the video. “These are certainly uncertain times, but no matter what, it’s important that you know your rights when interacting with law enforcement.”
He went on to give instructions on “mak[ing] a plan for ICE encounters” along with information on pro bono legal representation if they are detained.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is also under scrutiny for coaching illegal immigrants on how to avoid ICE, leading Homan to ask the Department of Justice for a legal opinion as to what activities amount to felonious interference with immigration officials.
Republicans are furious with Democrats who are advising illegal immigrants on how to deal with ICE.
“It’s completely disgraceful that Democrats are going to such extreme lengths to aid illegals — even going as far as using their official accounts to give instructions on evading ICE!” Republican North Carolina Rep. Mark Harris said to The Caller.
“This is just the beginning of their extreme tactics to obstruct President Trump’s agenda. Speaking in Chinese or Spanish won’t hide the Left’s message: they care more about criminal aliens than the safety of the American people,” he added.
