Former President Donald Trump hinted this week that he may release the long-sought-after Jeffrey Epstein client list.

During an appearance on the Lex Fridman podcast, Trump was asked about the mystery surrounding Epstein’s notorious island and the powerful individuals who may have visited.

“It’s just very strange for a lot of people that the list of clients that went to the island has not been made public,” Fridman said.

“Yeah, it’s very interesting, isn’t it? Probably will be,” Trump explained, implying that the release of the list could be imminent should he retake the White House after November’s election.

When Fridman asked if Trump would release the list if he had the power, Trump replied without hesitation, “Yeah, I’d certainly take a look at it. I’d have no problem with it.”

Many may be worried about Trump’s remarks, especially in the Democratic Party, where concerns about the implications of such a revelation have been growing. Several well-known people have already been implicated in the Epstein affair, and more powerful people may be implicated in the future disclosure of a client list.

The discussion also included drawing parallels between the Epstein case and other historical scandals.

“Kennedy’s interesting because it’s so many years ago. You know, they do that for danger, too, because, you know, it endangers certain people, et cetera, et cetera. So Kennedy is very different from the Epstein thing,” Trump explained.

In 2008, Epstein entered a guilty plea to charges of soliciting a prostitute and obtaining a kid for prostitution. For the offenses, he received an 18-month prison sentence.

In 2019, Epstein was arrested once more on charges of sexually abusing numerous young girls in his waterfront mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, and his Upper East Side apartment between 2002 and 2005.

In August 2019, the 66-year-old pedophile was discovered dead in his Manhattan jail cell; his cause of death was determined to be suicide. He might have spent up to 45 years behind bars.

Unsealed court records from Virginia Giuffre, Epstein’s accuser, in her 2015 defamation lawsuit against the sex offender’s “madam” Ghislaine Maxwell were revealed in January. Among the more than 170 individuals connected to Epstein were numerous well-known figures.

“Dozens of high-profile names — including royalty, politicians and famous scientists — appeared in an avalanche of previously sealed court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein that were released. The trove of papers filed in Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre’s 2015 defamation suit against the dead sex offender’s “madam” Ghislaine Maxwell included references to Prince Andrew, former President Bill Clinton and Stephen Hawking, among other major figures,” the New York Post reported.

“The lengthy list of boldface names paints a troubling picture of Epstein’s double life as an ace financier who used his wealth and connections to victimize dozens of young women. The 215 newly unsealed documents, nearly 5,000 pages, were released between Jan. 3 and Jan. 9 — naming more than 170 people with ties to Epstein, including victims and former employees,” the outlet added.
