{"id":11279,"date":"2025-04-02T15:16:20","date_gmt":"2025-04-02T15:16:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kohajone.press\/?p=11279"},"modified":"2025-04-02T15:16:21","modified_gmt":"2025-04-02T15:16:21","slug":"449-lb-man-charged-with-ramming-multiple-parked-teslas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kohajone.press\/?p=11279","title":{"rendered":"449 lb man charged with ramming multiple parked Teslas"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>An ATV-riding Texan was a massive problem to Tesla owners when he allegedly rammed his 4-wheeler into multiple cars during an unprovoked hit-and-run spree on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Demarqeyun Marquize Cox was arrested after one of his alleged attacks was recorded by the Tesla he purposely ran into, police in Texarkana, Texas announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 33-year-old allegedly spotted the electric vehicle sitting in the parking lot of a Golden Palace Chinese buffet while its owner having lunch inside the restaurant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/lajmesot.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Screenshot_1049.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-57635\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The 5-foot-2, 449-pound driver left noticeable damage to the front driver-side door, owner Virita Carstaffin told the outlet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/lajmesot.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Screenshot_1050.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-57636\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Carstaffin \u2013 who was alerted to the attack by a phone notification \u2013 said she would have to shell out over $1,000 to replace the entire door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police were called to the area of Cox\u2019s rampage after a second Tesla was damaged at a nearby Lowe\u2019s, the Texarkana Police Department said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 4-wheel menace was stopped by cops just over a mile south of the Golden Palace as an officer recognized Cox from the Chinese buffet video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cox allegedly claimed to be a different person and provided a false name during his initial interrogation with police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers didn\u2019t fall for the cocky attitude and arrested the man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBased on what they had seen in the video they knew for a fact that he was the one who at least hit the initial Tesla,\u201d Texarkana Police Public Information Officer Shawn Vaughn told the outlet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has been charged with felony criminal mischief resulting in damage between $2,500 and $30,000 and failure to identify, police announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A third damaged Tesla was reported after the arrest.<\/p>\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ttwN5sd2PAU?si=6CRvTnNWoYeTBG2Z\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><div class=\"684f6003e199ca137b09540a661b4c2d\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: none; margin:0px 0 0px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<!-- Composite Start -->\r\n<div id=\"M940464ScriptRootC1583286\">\r\n<\/div>\r\n<script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.adskeeper.com\/k\/o\/kohajone.press.1583286.js\" async>\r\n<\/script>\r\n<!-- Composite End -->\r\n\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An ATV-riding Texan was a massive problem to Tesla owners when he allegedly rammed his 4-wheeler into multiple cars during an unprovoked hit-and-run spree on Tuesday.
