Brandon Gill of Texas is calling on the Trump administration to send Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) back to her homeland of Somalia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAmerica would be a better place if @IlhanMN were deported back to Somalia,\u201d Gill wrote Tuesday on the X platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Included in Gill\u2019s tweet was a video clip featuring Omar, where she appears to be coaching fellow Somalis living in the U.S. \u2014 perhaps illegally \u2014 how to resist federal immigration officials. The video was posted by conservative influencer Greg Price, who wrote: \u201cIlhan Omar is now hosting workshops for Somalians living in the country illegally to advise them on how to avoid being deported.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">America would be a better place if <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IlhanMN?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@IlhanMN<\/a> were deported back to Somalia. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ABjBQX9DXx\">https:\/\/t.co\/ABjBQX9DXx<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Congressman Brandon Gill (@RepBrandonGill) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepBrandonGill\/status\/1886844342330872198?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 4, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several X users backed Gill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c100%! She\u2019s anti-American as they come. She pledged allegiance to the United States and has only ever acted against it. She\u2019s a fraud, liar, and traitor to this country!\u201d one&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CAILYX31\/status\/1886871527120855136\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIsn\u2019t this against the law? Expel her!\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TheRealUltraMKB\/status\/1886873632426885195\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Advertisement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another user&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TontoStephenson\/status\/1886974378618798402\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">offered<\/a>: \u201cShe is committing federal crimes by telling illegal immigrants how to avoid ice. She deserves to be investigated and prosecuted.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Later, Gill&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RepBrandonGill\/status\/1886851838013575313\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote that<\/a>&nbsp;\u201cwe should have never let Ilhan Omar into our country.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A spokesperson for Gill&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/house\/5126520-freshman-texas-lawmaker-calling-for-deportation-of-ilhan-omar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a>&nbsp;The Hill, \u201cRepresentative Omar\u2019s conduct raises questions about to whom she is most loyal- the American people or illegal aliens from Somalia. Representative Gill simply stated that it is disgraceful for a sitting Congresswoman and US citizen to facilitate the invasion of our country by illegal alien Somalis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the clip, Omar outlined what Somalians who are \u201cundocumented or who their documentation might have lapsed\u201d should do if they are questioned by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYou are not obligated to answer their questions. Just state that your are advised by a lawyer not to answer questions,\u201d Omar&nbsp;told the reporter. \u201cDisclosure of your name, immigration status, and the mode of entry is not mandatory. Learn the laws and prepare yourself and refrain from disclosing information that you prefer them not to know.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Omar\u2019s instructions come as President Donald Trump\u2019s nascent administration gets to work on his campaign pledge of implementing mass deportations, beginning first with illegal migrant criminals. Border czar Tom Homan, who spent decades as a Border Patrol officer and senior federal immigration official, has said that while criminal aliens are the administration\u2019s first priority, anyone found to be in the country illegally is subject to arrest and deportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn sanctuary cities, expect a lot of collateral arrests. I mean, not priority criminal arrests. We can\u2019t get the bad guy in jail. That means we have to go into the communities and find them, and there may be others. We expect a lot of collateral arrests,\u201d Homan&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/conservativebrief.com\/arrests-trump-88292\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>&nbsp;in December, before he and Trump took office<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere\u2019s over 700,000 criminal aliens with criminal convictions,\u201d Homan added. \u201cICE is going to do what they\u2019re good at.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019re starting across the country on the same day\u201d that Trump takes office, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTwenty-four [ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations] field offices \u2014 some cover two or three states,\u201d Homan added. \u201cEvery field office will be given the direction that they are to begin looking for, arresting, detaining, removing those in the United States that have been arrested for a crime.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also in December, the border czar obliterated CNN\u2019s Kaitlan Collins during a tense interview about the administration\u2019s mass deportation operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During an interview on \u201cThe Source,\u201d Homan held his ground when Collins asked about ICE agents going after illegal aliens hiding out in schools, churches, and hospitals so they could avoid being deported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat is the standard, I guess, to go into an elementary school?\u201d Collins asked. \u201cBecause what we had heard from immigration advocates is that this is going to provide a chilling effect to parents in the school drop-off line or something of that matter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt shouldn\u2019t be a chilling effect unless your child is a terrorist or a public safety threat. If they are a public safety threat, a national security threat, they should be chilled.
