Border Czar Tom Homan said during a Thursday evening interview that he planned to speak to President Donald Trump on Friday about invoking the Insurrection Act to quell left-wing violence directed at Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and other federal agents in Minneapolis. In an interview with Fox News\u2019 Laura Ingraham, Homan said he didn\u2019t want to speculate about what Trump would do, but did say invoking the act is a \u201cviable option.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIs it time for the Insurrection Act, or would that just add gasoline to the fire?\u201d Ingraham asked during the segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m not going to get ahead of the President on that,\u201d Homan replied, \u201cbut it\u2019s certainly an option, a viable option. So actually, I\u2019ll be meeting with the President tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s something that needs to be on the table, because this cannot continue,\u201d Homan added. \u201cThere is going to be more bloodshed. I\u2019m telling you, I hope I\u2019m wrong. There\u2019s going to be more bloodshed if something isn\u2019t done.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd most Minnesotans\u2026support ICE. It\u2019s this radical group of anarchists, and when you see them close up, you really get a sense of who they are,\u201d Ingraham said. \u201cIt\u2019s this crowd, a lot of them paid, a lot of them working double shifts of protests, against the rest of the state\u2026They don\u2019t like what\u2019s happening in the Twin Cities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs far as the organization, everybody that\u2019s planning these protests, giving these people weapons, and funding this. Again, justice is coming, cause we\u2019re deep-diving that whole thing,\u201d Homan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
