On Friday, a transgender collegiate track and field athlete from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in New York broke two new marks.<br \/>\nAt the RIT January Friday Meet, Sadie Schreiner broke the 200-meter record and earned a spot in the Atlantic Region Championship with a mark of 25.27 seconds. The runner finished in 40.78 seconds, shattering the 300-meter record as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLast weekend\u2019s wild meet!\u201d Instagram posts from Schreiner. \u201cRunning until I can no longer walk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the sophomore won the Liberty League Women\u2019s Track &#038; Field Performer of the Week title after finishing first in the 4\u00d7400-meter relay.
