The North American Grappling Association (NAGA) changed its rules less than a day after the story was published due to the strong outcry caused by the news.The embargo was successful. Only women are allowed to compete in female events at matches sanctioned by NAGA going forward.<br \/>\nRiley Gaines talked about the huge win for women\u2019s athletics with Charly Arnolt on OutKick the Morning Monday.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s enormous. Gaines stated, \u201cThat is what we have needed to see.\u201d \u201cWe needed to witness girls [fight] back, and the results are evident when they do.\u201d<br \/>\nIt took 21 hours \u2014 just 21 hours \u2014 for NAGA to change their policies and protect women\u2019s sports, prioritize fairness over inclusion.\u201d<br \/>\nGaines praised both Reduxx and the Independent Council on Women\u2019s Sports (ICONS) for bringing attention to the issue.\u201cLet\u2019s be real: I don\u2019t think a lot of people would know about this had someone not drawn attention to it because it\u2019s jiu-jitsu,\u201d Riley said. \u201cIt\u2019s not a probably a high revenue, sport or anything like that.
