{"id":2931,"date":"2024-03-28T15:27:32","date_gmt":"2024-03-28T15:27:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kohajone.press\/?p=2931"},"modified":"2024-03-28T15:27:33","modified_gmt":"2024-03-28T15:27:33","slug":"fox-news-host-leads-prayer-on-air-causes-a-major-debate-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kohajone.press\/?p=2931","title":{"rendered":"Fox News host leads prayer on air \u2013 causes a major debate online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cWe have more \u2018Fox and Friends\u2019 coming up, but you know what, this is a transition for transitions if you\u2019ve ever had one,\u201d he said as he laughed.<br \/>\nWeekend co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy then joined in and said, \u201cSo \u2018Fox and Friends.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is very \u2018Fox and Friends,\u2019\u201d Hegseth concurred, \u201cso ready your heart.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s the 5th Sunday of Lent, and our prayer series continues with the reading of prayer from the Hallow app,\u201d Hegseth went on. \u201cWe all need it, let\u2019s do it this morning, close your eyes \u2014 if you would, bow your head.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He then began reading the prayer on-screen from the Hallow app while his co-hosts Campos-Duffy and Will Cain bowed their heads in respect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJesus, today we begin the holy period of passion tide,\u201d Hegseth read. \u201cIn these last 2 weeks of Lent, help us understand the mystery of your sacrifice and surrender, make us keenly aware of your love for us. We ask that you make yourself known to us, help us to feel the grace of your presence.\u201d<br \/>\nHegseth thanked Christ for the \u201cselfless love you showed on the cross\u201d before he concluded by saying, \u201cThank you again to Hallow for this partnership during Lent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmen,\u201d Campos-Duffy chimed in.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Huffington Post, Fox News aired a part of the segment on Ash Wednesday in regards to the Hallow app. In connection with the sponsorship, actor Mark Wahlberg was invited as a guest.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time a Fox News host has expressed their faith on-air. Previously on a segment concerning Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson, host Kayleigh McEnany said, \u201cI really believe he thinks God is leading the way \u2014 this will all get figured out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo everyone out there, pray for him as our speaker,\u201d co-host Ainsley Earhardt said on the same episode of Johnson. \u201cOur country really needs some guidance from God right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While every American has the freedom to practice religion, it seems that this prayer on-air might have offended some people. One person commented, \u201cThese people don\u2019t praise God the rest of time. It\u2019s a political stunt to make you believe they do. Fox news spreads falsehoods and conspiracy theories, remember they paid a hefty fine for doing so. Hypocrisy at its best!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While another added, \u201cabout as religious as a rock.\u201d Another disgruntled viewer wrote, \u201cThese people praying is a joke. They sit there everyday and lie threw their mouths. You never hear the truth about anything.
