{"id":4588,"date":"2024-05-29T13:35:12","date_gmt":"2024-05-29T13:35:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kohajone.press\/?p=4588"},"modified":"2024-05-29T13:35:14","modified_gmt":"2024-05-29T13:35:14","slug":"christmas-maraschino-cherry-shortbread-cookies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kohajone.press\/?p=4588","title":{"rendered":"Christmas Maraschino Cherry Shortbread Cookies"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INGREDIENTS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 cup\u00a0unsalted butter- room temperature<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 cup\u00a0powdered sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 tablespoon\u00a0vanilla\u00a0extract<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 cups all-purpose flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon\u00a0salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3\/4 cup\u00a0maraschino cherries-chopped(spread cherries on pap<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2\/3 cup\u00a0chocolate\u00a0chips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INSTRUCTIONS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mix flour and salt, set aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cream 1 cup unsalted softened butter with 1\/2 cup powdered sugar, mix in vanilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add flour and salt mixture and mix until it starts forming larger clumps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mix in chocolate chips and maraschino cherries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Form the dough into the log and press it well or it will crumble when you slice the cookies (the log should be about 2 inch thick) Wrap it in the plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for at least 1-2 hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dailystorya.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/christmas-maraschino-cherry-shortbread-cookies-558c2e32bcfa6a083f56e7b1-584x1024.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5699\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Preheat the oven to 325 F and line baking sheet with parchment paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cut the log into 1\/4 or 1\/3 inch thick slices (if the slices crumbles, press it back together with your hands) and place them onto baking sheet with one inch of space between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bake the cookies 10\u2013 15 minutes (until they just start to turn lightly golden brown on top)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let them cool for 5 minutes on a baking sheet before transfer them to a rack to cool completely.<\/p>\n<div class=\"684f6003e199ca137b09540a661b4c2d\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: none; margin:0px 0 0px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<!-- Composite Start -->\r\n<div id=\"M940464ScriptRootC1583286\">\r\n<\/div>\r\n<script src=\"https:\/\/jsc.adskeeper.com\/k\/o\/kohajone.press.1583286.js\" async>\r\n<\/script>\r\n<!-- Composite End -->\r\n\n<\/div>\n\n<div style=\"font-size: 0px; height: 0px; line-height: 0px; margin: 0; padding: 0; clear: both;\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>INGREDIENTS INSTRUCTIONS Mix flour and salt, set aside.
