Truckers nationwide are starting to refuse to deliver goods to New York City in protest of a massive $350 million lawsuit verdict against former President Donald Trump, following similar demonstrations against Covid lockdowns.
\nFollowing the surprising ruling by state Judge Arthur Engoron, who said that the Trump brand had artificially inflated the worth of its assets in order to unlawfully leverage lucrative commercial partnerships, the hordes of Trump-lover long-haul drivers started speaking up. If the family had to pay the entire sum, their roughly $1.5 billion real estate empire would collapse.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m just one of the many millions of Truckers who believe in God and love this Country,\u201d a trucker known as \u201cChicago Ray\u201d wrote on X, formerly Twitter. \u201cI stand with Trump bc Trump stands with me. Truckers for Trump ain\u2019t just a slogan, it\u2019s real,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been on the radio talking to drivers for about the past hour, and I\u2019ve talked to about 10 drivers,\u201d Ray wrote. \u201cI don\u2019t know how far across the country this is or how many truckers are going to start denying loads going to New York City, but I\u2019ll tell you what \u2014 you f\u2014 around and find out,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
