Billy Ray Cyrus\u2019 marriage to his much younger wife Firerose took the internet by storm. Now, just 7 months after they said \u2018I do,\u2019 it seems like the couple is calling it quits.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Country singer\u00a0Billy Ray Cyrus<\/a>\u00a0has filed for divorce from his wife of 7 months, Firerose. The couple tied the knot in October 2023, and now the 62-year-old has filed for divorce from Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Rose Hodges<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The documents submitted to the court cite irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the reasons for divorce. Infact, Cyrus is seeking to get an annulment on the marriage on the basis of fraud. There are currently no details on what he means by \u2018fraud.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was noted by People<\/em>.com<\/em><\/a> <\/em>that the couple does not follow one another on Instagram anymore either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TMZ <\/em>was the first outlet to break the news of the impending divorce<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The couple have previously talked about how they know one another. They shared how they were friends for years before they began to write songs together during the COVID-19 pandemic. They only began dating in 2022 and subsequently became engaged and finally tied the knot in October 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c10\/10\/23 will always be the beautiful, joyous day that our two souls united as one in holy matrimony,\u201d they wrote in a joint post on social media at the time. \u201cIt was the most perfect, ethereal celebration of love we could have ever imagined.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

he couple has released songs together, which include, \u201cNew Day,\u201d \u201cTime,\u201d \u201cPlans\u201d and \u201cAfter the Storm.\u201d The couple talked about the track \u201cAfter the Storm\u201d as being a hopeful song which resonated with them personally. Cyrus even said it was a \u201cpowerful and timely\u201d song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time, Firerose said of it, \u201cOnly by the grace of God did I survive my darkest nights. There is so much truth in these lyrics and it\u2019s my purpose to help others find strength in their toughest hours.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In August 2023, the couple even appeared on Good Morning America <\/em>to perform their song \u2018Plans\u2019 together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re kind of like\u2026 It\u2019s a peanut butter and jelly,\u201d Cyrus mused of their relationship previously. \u201cI\u2019m a left-handed singer-songwriter from Flatwoods, Kentucky, and she\u2019s a trained orchestral musician\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firerose added to his sentiment saying, \u201cIt has been a beautiful whirlwind and I\u2019m just so grateful that I get to live my dreams every day with the love of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February this year, Cyrus celebrated his wife\u2019s birthday by posting about her and writing that she is the \u201cbeautiful love of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firerose also marked their six-month wedding anniversary in just April this year by posting a picture from their wedding and writing in the caption, \u201c6 months ago I married this man. Life isn\u2019t always easy\u2026 but it sure helps when your husband\u2019s also your best friend. Thank you Lord!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not Cyrus\u2019 first marriage. He was previously famously married to Tish Cyrus for 28 years. He shares five children with his ex-wife which include Miley Cyrus<\/a>, Noah Cyrus, Brandi Cyrus and sons Trace and Braison Cyrus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Billy Ray also has another older son, Christopher Cody with Kristen Luckey, who he was in a relationship with before he met Tish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
