Brad Pitt<\/a> has been left \u2018devastated\u2019 by the fact that his kids are dropping his surname, and believes that ex-wife Angelina Jolie<\/a> is a driving factor behind their controversial decision, according to reports<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this month we reported<\/a> that the couple\u2019s 18-year-old daughter Shiloh filed to have \u2018Pitt\u2019 removed from her surname \u2013 thereby making her Shiloh Jolie \u2013 and on the very day she became a legal adult no less.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shiloh is one of Jolie and Pitt\u2019s six-strong brood, but it appears that she\u2019s not the only one who has strained relations with her father. Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 15, made\u00a0headlines recently<\/a>\u00a0when her name was listed in the official Playbill for\u00a0The Outsiders,<\/em>\u00a0a show she\u2019d helped her mother produce, and went down in the records as Vivienne Jolie, as opposed to Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of that, 19-year-old Zahara \u2013 one of Angelina and Brad\u2019s three adopted children \u2013 reportedly also goes by Zahara Jolie these days, while TMZ have reported<\/a> that the oldest of the siblings, Maddox, 22, doesn\u2019t use \u2018Pitt\u2019 in his surname either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Son Pax, readers may remember, lambasted Pitt in an explosive Instagram post from 2020 that resurfaced recently, claiming: \u201cYou have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As per Little Things,<\/a> the breakdown in relations between Brad and his children has greatly affected the superstar actor, with a source stating: \u201cBrad was devastated by this choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTo him, it was more than a change of name \u2014 it was a symbol of a deeper estrangement that has been brewing for years.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, another source close to the family detailed how Shiloh had hired her own lawyer to handle her name change, stressing that the decision was hers and hers alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet, according to the source cited by Little Things<\/a>, Brad harbors strong suspicions that the main reason for the estrangement from his kids has to do with Angelina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe feels that the negative narrative Angelina presents to the kids is a major obstacle in his efforts to reconnect,\u201d the source claimed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith Angelina having daily influence over the children, Brad finds it nearly impossible to change their perceptions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since their 2019 divorce, the superstars, once collectively dubbed \u2018Brangelina\u2019 by the press, have been involved in legal battles and media-fueled spats, and a string of allegations have been made in recent times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As recently as April of this year were papers submitted by Jolie to the Los Angeles Superior Court accusing Pitt of physical abuse \u2013 something he has vehemently denied \u2013 while the former couple are still at odds over the sale of a French winery they purchased while together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
