The \u201cWheel of Fortune\u201d host, Pat Sajak, discusses how he underwent emergency surgery a month ago for a blocked bowel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sajak acknowledged to \u201cGood Morning America\u201d in his first interview after the procedure that he had feared dying just before it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The game show host first felt \u201cexcruciating\u201d discomfort in November while taking his daughter for a morning stroll. He was twisted over in agony just hours before he was scheduled to undergo surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He stated, \u201cI was resting on the bed in the foetal position. Doctors use a variety of drugs to try to manage your discomfort. None of it \u2014 not a single thing \u2014 worked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He claimed that later, his medical professionals gave him a painkiller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He explained, \u201cI suddenly wasn\u2019t thinking about the soreness.\u201d I suddenly experienced a face coming out of these wonderful hues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My wife and daughter were conversing in the background, and I could hear them. They were standing next to me, yet they sounded like they were miles away,\u201d he said. \u201cThey were talking to each other. I remember thinking, without being morbid, that this must be death. Surely this is how death feels.<\/p>\n
