However, what followed was not what the palace had wanted. On social media, users found strange errors in the picture, and experts claimed it was photoshopped. The conspiracy theories surrounding Kate are only growing following the botched image edits, and it didn\u2019t take long before the princess commented on it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There have been whispers that Kate possibly wanted her picture taken as she sat in the car. However, according to Christopher Andersen, author of The King,<\/em> it was \u201cdefinitely\u201d not staged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe was trying to sneak out of Windsor with her mother and was clearly not pleased that they had been spotted by a photographer,\u201d Andersen told Fox. \u201cThis cloak-and-dagger stuff is only going to fuel more speculation about what\u2019s really going on with Kate and with her father-in-law, King Charles.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added, \u201cIn its typically smug fashion, the palace issued a statement last week insisting that everything was going according to plan. They never explained, however, why Kate spent weeks in the hospital after \u2018planned abdominal surgery\u2019 and has needed to remain closeted away for months. On Sunday, on Mother\u2019s Day,  Kensington Palace<\/a> finally released a picture of Kate. The Princess of Wales is seen sitting on a patio surrounded by her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, which many took as a sign that she was doing well following her surgery in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was signed \u201cC,\u201d meaning Kate herself had written it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At first, royal fans were filled with joy. The picture was sent to global news agencies, and many sent Kate their best wishes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Royal historian Kate William told CNN that she believes  Kensington Palace<\/a> released the picture of Kate to \u201cstop the speculation\u201d while she recovers in private.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m not speculating on why the photo was edited like this, but it\u2019s weird,\u201d portrait photographer Martin Bamford wrote on X<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were several significant details social media users became obsessed with analyzing, including Charlotte\u2019s half-missing sleeve and blurred skirt and Kate\u2019s misplaced zip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charlotte\u2019s knee\u2014as well as Kate Middleton\u2019s hand around Louis\u2014was \u201cblurry,\u201d and her wrist and jumper sleeve were accused of being manipulated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some social media users claimed that \u201cediting fails,\u201d including Kate\u2019s left hand not having a wedding ring and even her chin being photoshopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe more you look at this, the worse it gets. the hands, the fact some parts are so blurry and some so sharp, the way Charlotte is apparently balancing in that position, there is literally a crease in the step, the reflection in the window doesn\u2019t match,\u201d one user wrote on X<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

News agency says \u201csource has manipulated the image\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It didn\u2019t take long before news agencies began investigating the picture. The Associated Press, Reuters, Getty Images, and Agence France-Presse all decided to issue \u201ckill notices,\u201d which are advisory notices to remove or not use a specific photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt appears that the source has manipulated the image,\u201d the Associated Press notification read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also released a statement, saying, \u201cThe Associated Press initially published the photo, which was issued by  Kensington Palace<\/a>. The AP later retracted the image because at closer inspection, it appears that the source had manipulated the image in a way that did not meet AP\u2019s photo standards. The photo shows an inconsistency in the alignment of Princess Charlotte\u2019s left hand.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to GB News, Dr Hany Farid, a professor of computer sciences, said the work on Princess Charlotte\u2019s sleeve looked like a \u201cbad Photoshop job.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI clearly see what is being referenced here, with respect to her sleeve. It looks like a bad Photoshop job. I know we talk a lot about AI lately but it is still possible to use traditional photo-editing tools,\u201d Farid said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The professor added, \u201cWhat you would be worried about here is if Kate wasn\u2019t in this photo and had been digitally inserted. This would be a dramatic manipulation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fact that Kate Middleton\u2019s wedding ring wasn\u2019t visible in the picture further fueled speculation about something being hidden from the public. But according to  Kensington Palace<\/a>, there was a reason for that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to ITV News, Kate\u2019s office responded that she wasn\u2019t wearing the ring because she was \u201cat home\u201d when the photo was taken, and dismissed speculations about her marriage with William by stating, \u201cIt was her husband who took the photo.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially, Kensington Palace decided not to comment on the alleged manipulation of the Kate photo. However, on Monday morning, Kate Middleton took to the Prince and Princess of Wales\u2019 official X account to explain what had happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The image was indeed edited \u2013 and Kate had done it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, as per Express,  Kensington Palace<\/a> has confirmed it \u201cwould not be reissuing the original unedited photograph of Kate and her children.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to GB News, royal expert Katie Nicholl stated that Kensington Palace will now be under much pressure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s so major in all of this is that four international picture agencies have killed this image. That\u2019s really rare,\u201d Nicholl said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI can\u2019t think of a a time since I\u2019ve been doing this job for the best part of 15 years where a royal image has been recalled. So that\u2019s highly unusual. It might force Kensington Palace\u2019s hand.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, another family member of Kate\u2019s decided to reveal details about her health just some days ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gary Goldsmith, Kate Middleton\u2019s uncle, spent time in the Big Brother house as a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother<\/em>. He entered the house last Monday, but had to leave as early as on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his time in the house, Gary spoke about his niece several times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In one clip, he talks to his fellow Celebrity Big Brother<\/em> house contestants, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, about the rumors about Kate\u2019s health, saying people should leave her alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think they should leave her alone right now because there\u2019s a reason why they\u2019re [family] not talking about it, and they are giving her a little bit of space. I just think it\u2019s fundamentally wrong and if it was happening to anybody else they would think to give them some space. She claims that the Princess of Wales most likely feels \u201cfragile\u201d and \u201cdepressed\u201d about her uncle appearing on Celebrity Big Brother<\/em> and that it\u2019s the \u201clast thing she needs\u201d as she continues her recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, Bond says that even if he wouldn\u2019t do anything embarrassing, it could hurt the royals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s a particularly close relationship and I don\u2019t think he\u2019s part of the \u2018inner circle\u2019 anymore \u2013 I think he\u2019s increasingly been pushed outside that circle now. Jennie Bond added, \u201cI think that Gary comes from a good place in his heart. If he talks about her it\u2019s \u2013 in his view \u2013 to give her side of the story, give her a mouth, a voice, when he knows she can\u2019t off the back of allegations made of her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut I think it\u2019s the last thing she\u2019d want \u2013 if Catherine or William want to say anything, they will say it. They don\u2019t need anyone else to, least of all someone within their own family \u2013 and they don\u2019t have that strong connection anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n
