(Twitter\/GloboNews)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, a statement by Voepass said there was \u2018still no confirmation of how the accident occurred or the current situation of the people on board\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Footage of the awful incident has since\u00a0circulated online, with one video being broadcast on Brazilian television network GloboNews showing an area on fire and dark smoke coming from what looks to be an aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Social media has also been flooded with footage of an aircraft descending at speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\u00a0plane\u00a0is believed to have 58 passengers and four crew members on board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sao Paulo\u2019s fire brigade has since confirmed the aircraft crashed in a residential area of Vinhedo, which is home to over 80,000 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emergency services have since rushed to the city, though it remains unclear if anyone has been injured in Vinhedo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.ladbible.com\/resize?type=webp&amp;quality=70&amp;width=3840&amp;fit=contain&amp;gravity=auto&amp;url=https:\/\/images.ladbiblegroup.com\/v3\/assets\/blt949ea8e16e463049\/blt12197bd9b5cafc87\/66b66667ef2b71b8cf5e1331\/Screenshot_2024-08-09_at_19.53.29.png\" alt=\"62 people were on board. VOEPASS has taken all measures to support those involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere is still no confirmation of how the accident occurred or the current situation of the people on board.
