{"id":7540,"date":"2024-08-11T13:42:47","date_gmt":"2024-08-11T13:42:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kohajone.press\/?p=7540"},"modified":"2024-08-11T13:42:49","modified_gmt":"2024-08-11T13:42:49","slug":"just-like-she-promised-celine-dion-sings-again-during-the-paris-olympics-opening-ceremony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kohajone.press\/?p=7540","title":{"rendered":"Just like she promised: Celine Dion sings again during the Paris Olympics opening ceremony"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Celine Dion has returned to the stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And despite everything she\u2019s endured health wise over the last decade, the legendary singer sounded fantastic during her performance at the opening ceremony for the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/recipmo.com\/just-like-she-promised-celine-dion-sings-again-during-the-paris-olympics-opening-ceremony\/?fbclid=IwY2xjawElnpBleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHead0Gh2Mr7FHMb-xTrKlK7iZU-rXP56Agt5tQ75d2rDe4v649xU5EWaaw_aem_AZPa5zv0wk13-RSlQGsKrw#\">&nbsp;Paris Olympics<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/recipmo.com\/wp-content\/webp-express\/webp-images\/uploads\/2024\/08\/celine-1200x893.png.webp\" alt=\"Just Like She Promised: Celine Dion Sings Again During The Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As an emotional Kelly Clarkson said during the broadcast, if you know anything about what Celine went through to get to this moment, it will bring tears to your eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As Dion admitted in an interview with Hoda Kotb, Dion started to noticing something was wrong with her health nearly a decade ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It wasn\u2019t until years later, that she was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome; a rare neurological disorder that has affected her ability to walk, talk, and her ability to sing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt feels like somebody is strangling you,\u201d Dion told Today\u2019s Hoda Kotb in the eye-opening interview set to air on June 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She describes it has if someone is pushing on her larynx and pharynx. Dion admitted that it\u2019s seriously affected her ability to sing, admitting it restricts her vocal range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt gets into a spasm,\u201d Dion continued to explain. \u201cIt started [in the throat].\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/D7FMMjqKvaM?si=tXcuuVZgCFURP3DB\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>During that same interview, Dion promised herself and her fans that despite what she\u2019s going through, she would return to the stage, where she belongs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am Celine Dion because today my voice will be heard for the first time, not just because I have to or because I need to, but it\u2019s because I want to. And I miss it,\u201d she said at the time.<\/p>\n<p>And today, in her native French, Dion sang her heart out in front the world.
