Many people watching the Olympics closing ceremony had the same complaints<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Those who watched the Olympic closing ceremony might have notice a few questionable variants.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last night (August 11) marked the end of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, and the Olympic torch was passed on to\u00a0Los Angeles\u00a0ahead of the South\u00a0California\u00a0city hosting the Games in 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the ceremony, Hollywood legend\u00a0Tom Cruise\u00a0skydived from the Eiffel Tower in true\u00a0Mission Impossible\u00a0<\/em>fashion before scenes shot in LA were aired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Billie Eilish,\u00a0Dr. Dre,\u00a0Snoop Dogg\u00a0and Red Hot Chili Peppers all performed for fans in what appeared to be a live-performance \u2013 but it\u2019s been reported that it was actually record a day prior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the palm tree-filled set looked to be filmed at LA\u2019s famous Venice Beach; however the performances took place at Long Beach instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reporting on this, the Los Angeles Times\u00a0wrote\u00a0that on Saturday morning a section of Long Beach was \u2018wrapped in a privacy tent\u2019 as \u2018word had gotten out that they were filming part of the\u00a0Olympics\u00a0closing ceremony\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, people have raised questions about why it was a private event rather than allowing thousands of fans enjoy performances from some of\u00a0music\u2018s biggest stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Someone wrote on Twitter: \u201cReally liked it, BUT why did #la28 have a private event?? They could\u2019ve easily had 10s of thousands show up for something like this and truly welcome Olympics in grand style. On tv the crowd looked small and lame. Like La doesn\u2019t care\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commenting on a clip of Red Hot Chili Peppers\u2019 performance, another wondered: \u201cWhy are there only like 200 people in the crowd?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elsewhere on\u00a0TikTok, someone who lives near the set shared a clip of them filming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She captioned the video: \u201cWould\u2019ve been a lot cooler if they allowed Snoop Dogg\u2019s real fans to pull up for this staged Paris Olympics Closing Ceremony commercial but as they say in Paris, \u2018c\u2019est la vie\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The social media user went on the allege that all those in the crowd were \u2018paid actors\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pointing out the group of people casually playing volleyball a few feet away from the stage, the TikToker insisted that they were paid actors too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Someone asked: \u201cAre the volleyball players actors? That doesn\u2019t seem realistic to have a few people playing beach volleyball feet away from a concert performance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLove the dudes just playing volleyball like nothing to see here just another day in LA,\u201d a different person pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LA 2028 has been approached for comment amid the criticism.<\/p>\n
