{"id":7627,"date":"2024-08-13T12:58:48","date_gmt":"2024-08-13T12:58:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kohajone.press\/?p=7627"},"modified":"2024-08-13T12:58:51","modified_gmt":"2024-08-13T12:58:51","slug":"olympic-star-sends-message-to-jordan-chiles-after-reclaiming-medal-from-her-following-controversy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kohajone.press\/?p=7627","title":{"rendered":"Olympic star sends message to Jordan Chiles after reclaiming medal from her following controversy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Romanian gymnast Ana B\u0103rbosu took to her Instagram Story to share a message to Jordan Chiles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ana B\u0103rbosu has spoken out after reclaiming a bronze medal from American gymnast Jordan Chiles.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Romanian\u00a0gymnast\u00a0had initially earned the medal during the women\u2019s artistic gymnastics floor exercise final at the\u00a0Paris 2024 Olympics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following an appeal from\u00a0Team USA\u00a0to revise Chiles\u2019 difficulty score however, the judges corrected Chiles\u2019 D-score from a 5.8 to 5.9 subsequently moving her up to third place and earning her the bronze medal instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the aftermath, the Romanian Olympic and Sport Committee\u00a0contested the decision made at the final\u00a0and sent a formal letter of protest to the International Gymnastics Federation requesting for another revision of the scoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ultimately reversed the appeal made by Team USA at the final, saying that their inquiry on Chiles\u2019 score was made four seconds outside of the one-minute window appeals are allowed to be made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a result, Team USA\u2019s appeal has been disregarded and\u00a0Chiles\u2019 bronze medal has been taken away\u00a0and given back to B\u0103rbosu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.ladbible.com\/resize?type=webp&amp;quality=70&amp;width=3840&amp;fit=contain&amp;gravity=auto&amp;url=https:\/\/images.ladbiblegroup.com\/v3\/assets\/blt949ea8e16e463049\/blt6276b879cdfcfafa\/66baa371deac0f59d5a6c654\/insta.png\" alt=\"Ana B\u0103rbosu has spoken out following the controversy. I know what you are feeling, because I\u2019ve been through the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBut I know you\u2019ll come back stronger. I hope from deep of my heart that at the next Olympics, all three of us will share same podium. This is my true dream!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis situation would not have existed if the persons in charge had respected the regulation.
