Raygun\u2019s best friend hits back at the critics and all of the people \u2018who don\u2019t get it\u2019<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The best friend of breakdancer Raygun has had enough of the unfair criticism and has hit back at the people who have never watched breakdancing commenting the loudest on her friend\u2019s Olympic performance.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Olympics\u00a0is a brilliant time to show the world who you are and what you are capable of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if you have a performance that doesn\u2019t go over well you can quickly end up on the receiving end of international ridicule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High risk, high reward I suppose..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Australian\u00a0breakdancer\u00a0Raygun, real name Rachael Gunn, is going through it right now as her Paris Olympic performance scored her a zero and failed to win over viewers due to her unorthodox moves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 36-year-old athlete\u2019s best friend, Sunny Spiteri was Rachael\u2019s maid of honor at her wedding in 2018 and has spoken out for the first time in defense of her friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a Mail Online report, she said: \u201cShe\u2019s my best friend!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe is kind and intelligent and one of the funniest people I know. All these people not understanding her moves have never been to a battle in real life \u2013 this is what breaking is!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which might have a touch of truth to it, since most people who tuned in had never seen a battle in real life themselves. But I somehow doubt this will end up actually stopping the critics from well\u2026 criticizing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She continued: \u201cIt\u2019s creative expression and she is well respected in the community for her musicality and creativity! All this to say I love her and I am SO PROUD.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her best friend emphasized just how supportive she intends to be, saying she will be wearing Raygun shirts until she is 90. Now, that is an endorsement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spiteri also hit back at rumors and speculation that questioned whether there was a conspiracy at work. Yep, the breakdancing conspiracies have landed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

People online have questioned how Gunn was able to even be selected for the Paris Olympics and suggested she was put through for things other than her ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spiteri added: \u201cThe judges often don\u2019t know her and they mark on a specific criteria. None of her wins have been contested. Just because you don\u2019t get it or like it doesn\u2019t mean it was some sort of master scheme of deception.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seems\u00a0Raygun hasn\u2019t let the ridicule get to her too much\u00a0as she also posted an optimistic message on her\u00a0social media\u00a0page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She wrote: \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid to be different. Go out there and represent yourself, you never know where that\u2019s gonna take you.\u201d<\/p>\n
