During the stop, police discovered her license had been revoked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Willis, a student at Texas Southern University, is also reportedly pregnant. Her mother is leading the prosecution in the case against former President Donald Trump related to the 2020 Georgia election interference, the New York Post&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/09\/03\/us-news\/embattled-georgia-da-fani-willis-25-year-old-daughter-kinaya-arrested-for-driving-with-suspended-license-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">noted<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She told an officer that she had been using her cellphone \u201cdue to her mother calling her related to her pregnancy,\u201d the report said. Kinaya also told officers that she was \u201cunaware\u201d that her license had been revoked since May 13, the report added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following her daughter\u2019s arrest, Fani Willis arrived to pick up Kinaya\u2019s 2010 Nissan Altima. \u201cWillis\u2019s mother later arrived on scene to take possession of her vehicle,\u201d DailyMail.com reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kinaya was booked at Fayette County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of driving with a revoked or suspended license. If convicted, Kinaya could face a minimum of two days in jail, a $500 fine, and a six-month extension of her license suspension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Willis\u2019 extensive racketeering case against Trump has been on hold since June as the Georgia Court of Appeals reviews Trump\u2019s attempt to disqualify the 52-year-old district attorney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In March, Trump and eight co-defendants requested that the appeals court consider their claims of prosecutorial misconduct, alleging issues related to Willis\u2019 relationship with former special prosecutor Nathan Wade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee had earlier ruled that District Attorney Willis could continue with the case provided her former lover, Nathan Wade, stepped down, which he did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump\u2019s appeal aims to overturn McAfee\u2019s decision before the trial begins. The appeals court is expected to hear arguments on the disqualification effort in December, which will be after the November 5 presidential election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since securing the grand jury indictment against Trump and 18 others last August, Willis has faced multiple investigations by state and federal lawmakers over allegations of misusing taxpayer funds and her relationship with Wade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump, 78, and his 13 remaining co-defendants have pleaded not guilty to felony charges accusing them of violating Georgia\u2019s anti-racketeering law in an alleged attempt to overturn the 2020 election results in the state, The Post noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Willis\u2019 office is also dealing with another scandal. In June, text messages&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/conservativebrief.com\/text-message-fani-willis-82332\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">were produced<\/a>&nbsp;during a court proceeding that reveal an investigator working for the DA\u2019s office made inappropriate advances on a witness while working on a case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the RICO trial for Young Slime Life (YSL) against rapper Young Thug and several co-defendants, additional information regarding the investigator\u2019s actions surfaced. While cross-examining a female witness known as A. Bennett, her lawyer asked about messages she had received from a county investigator identified as \u201cHamilton.\u201d Among the text messages was one from Hamilton that suggested he wanted to go out on a date with Bennett, saying, \u201cHit me up if you\u2019re bored later. We\u2019re not gonna talk shop.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAnd this is February 7 of 2024, this year, when the investigator for the DA\u2019s office is supposed to be talking to you about a case, but in fact, is calling you talking about going on a date.
