Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a Republican, has criticized President Joe Biden for his open-border policies, calling his administration a \u201cfailure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGovernor, why is it so hard to deport people who don\u2019t belong here who kick cops, drive drunk, and steal my grandma\u2019s Social Security number?\u201d host Jesse Watters asked Sanders during an interview on Fox News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBecause we have a president who absolutely doesn\u2019t care that millions and millions of people are coming across our border illegally. He has the power to shut the border down, to stop it. He can reinstate the remain in Mexico policy. He could actually build the wall. There is a lot of things he could be doing and this simply is a complete and total failure by this administration. In the state of Arkansas alone we seized enough fentanyl in the last year to kill every single person in our entire state,\u201d Sanders began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s nearly 3 million people. Every man, woman and child. Enough fentanyl just in this state alone. It\u2019s an absolute disgrace with this president is doing and it\u2019s another great example while in November he has to go and Donald Trump has to be put back in place so we can secure our border and get our country back,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Watters jumped in and asked: \u201cDo think Joe Biden loves this country?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott continues to defy the White House and federal courts regarding his state\u2019s ongoing efforts to combat illegal immigration after years of dealing with millions of migrants following Biden\u2019s repeal of his predecessor\u2019s highly effective border security policies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GOP governor \u201cannounced the construction of a \u2018forward operating base\u2019 near the southern border to bolster the National Guard\u2019s efforts to secure the border in the face of perceived federal apathy toward the unprecedented surge in illegal crossings.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abbott unveiled the establishment of the FOB during a press conference held in Eagle Pass. The base will occupy 80 acres of land near Eagle Pass and have the capacity to accommodate up to 1,800 troops in individual rooms. Additionally, it will be capable of hosting an extra 500 troops in the case of special deployments, the outlet continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTexas is expanding our border security capabilities by building a new Texas Military Department base camp to increase and improve border security operations in this area,\u201d he announced. \u201cThis will increase the ability for a larger number of Texas Military Department soldiers in Eagle Pass to operate more effectively and efficiently.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTexas would not be able to respond to President Biden\u2019s border crisis without the brave men and women of the Texas National Guard, and it is essential to build this base camp for them,\u201d he went on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, federal appeals court judges appointed by Republican presidents dealt a legal blow<\/a> to Abbott regarding his state\u2019s actions along the volatile and chaotic U.S.-Mexico border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data reveals that there were over 2.4 million encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border during the 2023 fiscal year, a notable increase from approximately 1.7 million encounters in 2021.<\/p>\n
