Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz said this week following Donald Trump\u2019s debate with Vice President Kamala Harris that the former president needs to be laser-focused on Harris\u2019 past statements, policy positions, and rhetoric because voters need to be reminded of just how radical they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cruz sat for an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity last week, where the two discussed the debate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI mean, and there\u2019s so much that we don\u2019t understand. Defund, dismantle, reimagine ICE, the police, the Minneapolis, they wanted to talk about January 6th. There was 600 riots in the summer of 2020,\u201d Hannity began. \u201cShe tweets out the Minnesota, the Minnesota Bail Fund four days after the police precinct is burned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd, you know, \u2018they won\u2019t stop. They shouldn\u2019t stop. We\u2019re not going to stop,\u2019 \u2014 all things that she said. Eighteen to 24-year-olds are stupid. Abolish the filibuster to pass the Green New Deal. Inflation is transitory. The border is secure. We\u2019re proud of \u2018Bidenomics\u2019. The country needs to be woke. We\u2019ll never deport illegals. And now we\u2019re going to give free sex change operations to convicted felons and illegal immigrants. How\u2019s that going to go over in your state of Texas? I would imagine not so well,\u201d Hannity added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLook, it goes over terribly. But what you just did, what I just did, is what the Trump campaign needs to do between now and Election Day, which is lay out the actual facts of her record because she won\u2019t confront them,\u201d Cruz responded. \u201cSo, for example, on abortion, she said \u2018no, no, no, I\u2019m not for late-term abortions, eight and nine-month abortions.\u2019 Well, she has voted for legislation that would legalize abortion up until the moment of birth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen she says \u2018I don\u2019t know what you\u2019re talking about, abortion after birth,\u2019 well, Kamala Harris voted against the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act, which said \u2014 says that if in the course of an abortion, a baby is alive, is breathing, is outside the womb, you can\u2019t just kill the baby. She voted no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd so, her actual record needs to be systematically laid out when it comes to crime. This is someone who has supported defund the police. This is someone who has supported defund ICE. This is someone, Kamala Harris, who compared ICE, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, to the KKK,\u201d the Texas Republican continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut we need to make sure those facts get before the American people because ABC is not going to do it. The corporate media is not going to do it. And, listen, her radical record is radical the same way my opponent, Colin Allred, who\u2019s running against me,\u201d he noted further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBoth of them vote repeatedly in favor of open borders. Both of them vote for trillions of dollars of spending we don\u2019t have. Both of them vote for the war against oil and gas and American energy. Both of them vote in favor of defunding the police. That\u2019s their record. But I got to tell you, the left right now, they are flooding money to Kamala Harris. They\u2019re flooding money to my opponent because they want to deceive the American people,\u201d the Texas Republican added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBoth Kamala Harris and my opponent are running ads with Donald Trump\u2019s border wall in it, even though both of them have opposed it their entire careers. The hypocrisy is enormous. Which is why we need to bring the facts back up and prosecute this case on the merits,\u201d Cruz said<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump shredded<\/a> Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of what turned out to be a highly controversial visit to a segment of the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday following the release of new data on criminal aliens by the acting head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The House Homeland Security Committee released new data from the agency on Friday, noting that \u201cthe Department of Homeland Security knows of at least 660,000 illegal immigrants at large in the U.S. with criminal records, including 13,000 convicted killers, nearly 16,000 convicted of sexual assault and 56,000 involved with dangerous drugs,\u201d the Washington Times reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump said during a rally in Walker, Mich., that Harris is \u201cgetting killed on the border.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat she went to the border, this was a bad day because somebody just released the numbers. They came out through ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement],\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
