Per their website page, the Ellis County WildGame Dinner describes itself as an organization committed to &#8216;supporting agricultural and rural education to the youth of Ellis County.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of their charity auction, the organization advertised on their&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unilad.com\/facebook\">Facebook<\/a>&nbsp;page that they would be auctioning off a &#8216;guitar autographed by country music star&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unilad.com\/taylor-swift\">Taylor Swift<\/a>.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.ladbible.com\/resize?type=webp&amp;quality=70&amp;width=3840&amp;fit=contain&amp;gravity=auto&amp;url=https:\/\/images.ladbiblegroup.com\/v3\/assets\/blt949ea8e16e463049\/bltc5031d4e59c43f73\/66fc964211fa80543bd3ed96\/GettyImages-1987932445.jpg\" alt=\"The organization advertised that they would be auctioning off a guitar allegedly signed by Swift. Video footage of the guitar&#8217;s destruction went absolutely&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unilad.com\/viral\">viral<\/a>&nbsp;online, with one video posted on Twitter earlier this week garnering over 22 million views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Watch the viral clip below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/twitter.com\/TONYxTWO\/status\/1840565321696002193\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The plot has now thickened however as a source close to Swift&#8217;s merchandise company&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/taylor-swift-didnt-sign-guitar-texas-man-smashed_n_66fc2294e4b0453dc1ee3b3b\">confirmed to<\/a>&nbsp;HuffPost that the guitar was not signed by the singer and that it was not a certified official guitar used by her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, the source added that an actual signed guitar by Swift would come with a certificate of authenticity, which her team reportedly doesn&#8217;t believe the auctioned guitar has.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Variety also&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/digital\/news\/man-smashes-taylor-swift-guitar-video-1236161574\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reports<\/a>&nbsp;that the guitar came with a signed CD insert but the instrument itself was not signed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.ladbible.com\/resize?type=webp&amp;quality=70&amp;width=3840&amp;fit=contain&amp;gravity=auto&amp;url=https:\/\/images.ladbiblegroup.com\/v3\/assets\/blt949ea8e16e463049\/blt0c1fbdf5bc3b7988\/66fc966bff440fb3f19aa1aa\/GettyImages-1243395808.jpg\" alt=\"An actual Taylor Swift guitar for reference. We took her to a Taylor Swift concert and she was like, \u2018You know Dad, I kind of want to be like Taylor Swift when I grow up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI was like, \u2018But you can\u2019t. That\u2019s not available to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cShe thought about it and she\u2019s like, \u2018Alright when I grow up I want people to want to be like August Chan Zuckerberg,\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the proudest fatherly smile, Zuckerberg then just added he was like \u2018hell yeah, hell yeah.&#8217;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Admittedly, I didn\u2019t get it at first. Are we talking hundreds? Thousands? What about tens of thousands?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, for Swiftie Millie Porter, the answer runs into the thousands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Porter has estimated that she&#8217;s spent a whopping $30,000 on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unilad.com\/taylor-swift\">Taylor Swift<\/a>&nbsp;since she first became a fan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It seems that Warhammer fans now have a challenger in terms of how much money they sink into their hobby!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of this $30k, Porter estimates that around $7,000 &#8211; $9,000 of it was just to attend the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unilad.com\/australia\">Australian<\/a>&nbsp;leg of Swift&#8217;s Eras Tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rest includes things such as travel expenses, concert tickets, buying CDs and vinyl records, themed outfits, and getting Taylor Swift themed tattoos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/images.ladbible.com\/resize?type=webp&amp;quality=70&amp;width=3840&amp;fit=contain&amp;gravity=auto&amp;url=https:\/\/images.ladbiblegroup.com\/v3\/assets\/blt949ea8e16e463049\/bltba442415c496feff\/65d5f0fb12d72e040a076ae7\/81469087-13098351-image-a-18_1708393460047.avif\" alt=\"Millie Porter said she has spent $30,000 on Taylor Swift since becoming a fan.\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>She told The Age: &#8220;[That includes] outfits, friendship bracelets, all of that kind of stuff &#8211; to be conservative.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Porter didn&#8217;t just see Swift once on this tour either, but went to all three performances of the tour in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unilad.com\/melbourne\">Melbourne<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She even set up a special Taylor Swift card specifically to cover expenses related to the tour. How are these folks so wealthy?&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another revealed that she had spent around $1,500, while her friend had dropped around $500 on the experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The singer&#8217;s presence has seen a spike in spending in Melbourne as fans splurged while in town to see Swift perform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One estimate suggests that spending in metro Melbourne was up by some $174 million over the weekend of Swift&#8217;s performance according to data from National Australia Bank [NAB].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This represents an increase of around 33% from the previous month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NAB executive Julie Rynski said: &#8220;Taylor was certainly the cheer captain for businesses across the city.
