Former President Donald Trump has been stockpiling endorsements from people that some may have thought would not endorse him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among them have been Tesla and Space X CEO Elon Musk, former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., former Democrat Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp who the former president had feuded with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And now another name can be added to that list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silicon Valley investor Naval Ravikant spoke to former Fox News host  Megyn Kelly on her Sirius XM show and said that it was the \u201clawfare\u201d against the former president that convinced him to support him,\u201d Breitbart News reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was the lawfare that kind of brought me off the sidelines. It\u2019s really disgusting behavior, because this is how you descend into a complete banana republic with military coups and military rule,\u201d he said to the host on her show \u201cThe Megyn Kelly Show.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe moment you can start weaponizing the law against your enemies electively, that\u2019s the beginning of the end,\u201d the investor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He mentioned a famous quote by former Peru President \u00d3scar R. Benavides, which said, \u201cFor my friends, everything, for my enemies, the law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat is, once you\u2019re in charge and you get to dictate who the law applies to, you\u2019re in a very slippery slope, and slippery slopes are real, by the way,\u201d Ravikant said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf you were to actually look at the charges that were brought against Trump \u2014 and I actually read them quite carefully \u2014 these were really trumped up. They were really made up,\u201d the investor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou violate the statute of limitations, you try to drum things up into a felony when there was no evidence of such, it was a miscategorization of \u2018business expenses.\u2019 When you have complex business dealings like I do and like many people do, you can always find something,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s this selective prosecution, it\u2019s a selective persecution that allows them to get away with this. And a lot of the progressive DA movement that comes out of George Soros and others is based on this understanding that, \u2018Hey, actually, we can choose whether or not to prosecute certain people, and these are elected offices that are either in territory where the voters are really favorable to us or they\u2019re really cheap to run, because there\u2019s no organized opposition. So let\u2019s just organize and take over prosecution,\u2019\u201d Ravikant continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what happened in San Francisco. If you want the case against Kamala Harris, it\u2019s the fact that she was DA in San Francisco and San Francisco\u2019s a mess. And, in fact, afterward, she advocated for [Los Angeles County District Attorney] George Gasc\u00f3n, who\u2019s ]the guy destroying LA, through basically not prosecuting criminals and going after business owners. So this this selective prosecution thing is a disaster,\u201d the investor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou can take a deep blue or deep red state, you can take a deep blue or deep red jury, and you can basically creatively interpret these infinite laws that we have to find anybody guilty of a crime,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think there\u2019s another famous saying, \u2018You find me the man and I\u2019ll find you the crime,\u2019\u201d Ravikant said, quoting Lavrentiy Beria, a police chief in Joseph Stalin\u2019s Soviet regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe moment you start breaking down this wall and you get into weaponizing justice \u2014 this is the scary stuff,\u201d he said. \u201cThis is the stuff that ends a Republic or turns into a one-party state, better known as a dictatorship.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think the weaponization of the justice system, the willingness to go into lawfare, that is a thing that will lead to violence. That is the thing that will lead to a dissolution, and a breakup, and something worse in the United States,\u201d the investor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen these guys start playing with going after their political enemies, when Alvin Bragg runs on the explicit campaign to take down Trump, and then they go hunting through and looking for anything and drumming up any charge, and go after him [with] the most\u2014 favorable juries and in the most favorable part of the country, and the just control the evidence and control the narrative, that is the beginning of the end,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd the people who are in Silicon Valley, and the donors who are out there supporting this lawfare, they\u2019re dead to me,\u201d he said. \u201cThese people are destroying the ground on which they stand. Do they think they won\u2019t be next?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
