Four married men decided to spend a Saturday fishing together. While waiting for the fish to bite, they began discussing what they had promised their wives in exchange for a day away from home. The first man had agreed to paint the entire house, the second promised to build a new pool deck, and the third had committed to renovating the kitchen.
After laughing about their expensive weekend commitments, they turned to the fourth man, who had remained unusually quiet. They asked what kind of work he had promised his wife to earn his fishing day. With a confident smile, he explained that he had found a much easier solution.
He said he had set his alarm for 5:30 a.m. When it rang, he turned it off, gently woke his wife, and whispered, “Fishing or sex?” His three friends immediately leaned closer, eager to hear what she had said.
The fourth man grinned and delivered the punchline: “She looked at me sleepily and said, ‘Put on a sweater. It’s cold outside!'” The other three men burst into laughter. Apparently, he had discovered the simplest way to get a free Saturday without promising to renovate half the house!
