Inside the tough and challenging life of Pattie Mallette

Pattie Mallette: A Life of Struggles and Strength

Pattie Mallette, best known as Justin Bieber’s mother, has faced immense hardships. At just 2, she lost her sister in a tragic accident. “My life was really painful as a child,” she once shared. Enduring years of abuse, she turned to substance use and crime by 14.

At 17, she became a single mother, raising Justin in “low-income housing.” Struggling with mental health, she attempted suicide and was hospitalized. Later, she reconnected with Justin’s father, Jeremy Bieber. Despite her past, Pattie and Justin “bond over their shared love for the arts.”
