Trump’s latest executive order to reinstate ‘discipline’ in schools sparks major debate among parents

Trump Signs Executive Orders on School Discipline and Sanctuary Cities

President Trump has issued two new executive orders. One reverses Obama-era school discipline reforms, aiming to give schools more power to suspend or expel students without focusing on racial disparities. Critics fear it revives the school-to-prison pipeline.

The second order targets sanctuary cities by threatening to cut federal funds from jurisdictions that limit cooperation with immigration enforcement.

Supporters say it promotes law and order, while opponents argue it’s unconstitutional and harms immigrant communities.

Both orders are reigniting debate over civil rights, education, and immigration.
