After Weeks of Blocked Driveways, One Early-Morning Tow Changed Everything

For three weeks, the narrator had been dealing with her neighbor Bernadette repeatedly parking across the family’s private driveway. Nineteen mornings had been disrupted, causing delays and even warnings at work. After numerous requests failed to solve the problem, she decided it was time to handle the situation through the proper process.

At 5:15 one morning, she contacted a licensed vehicle removal company and provided photographs showing the repeated obstruction. The driveway was clearly marked as private property, and she had kept detailed, timestamped evidence. Shortly after 7 a.m., the removal crew arrived, verified the documentation, photographed the vehicle, and began towing the silver Corsa.

Bernadette woke to the sound of the truck and rushed outside, furious about what was happening. She demanded an explanation and threatened to call the police and involve lawyers. Instead of arguing, the narrator calmly showed her the folder containing three weeks of photographs. The evidence documented the repeated parking and explained why the vehicle was being removed.

The situation had affected the entire family, not just the narrator. Her five-year-old child had repeatedly arrived late at school and had even become upset because of the delays. After the tow, Bernadette was responsible for the applicable removal and storage costs before she could recover her vehicle. What weeks of conversations had failed to accomplish was finally made clear through consequences.

The narrator never resorted to shouting or retaliation. She simply documented the problem, followed the appropriate procedure, and enforced the boundaries surrounding her property. After Bernadette recovered her car, she reportedly stopped blocking the driveway. For the family, the change meant fewer stressful mornings, children arriving at school on time, and a lasting reminder that sometimes calm preparation is more effective than endless arguments.
