The well-known Hollywood director and actor Kevin Costner is presently being sued by his neighbor for a view. According to the lawsuit, Costner’s land blocks the neighbor’s lovely view of the Pacific Ocean. The parties’ prominent profiles and the possible ramifications for zoning regulations and property rights have attracted attention to the issue.
Lawsuits are nothing new for Costner, according to The Hollywood
Rick Grimm, a retired professor who owns land next to Costner’s Carpinteria, California residence, filed the claim. Grimm says Costner’s planting of trees and building of a berm have blocked his view of the ocean. Grimm claims Costner put the trees and berm there on purpose.
The berm and trees were put in place to minimize erosion, according to Costner’s representatives, who have refuted the accusations and said that Grimm’s perspective is not greatly affected by them. Furthermore, they contend that Grimm has no right to an unhindered view, hence his claim is unfounded. Both sides are likely to present their cases in court as the disagreement has not yet been resolved.
