Former President George W. Bush is celebrating the newest addition to his family!

At 78 years old, Bush joyfully shared the news of his new grandson’s arrival on social media. On Tuesday, August 6, the former president posted a touching photo on Instagram to congratulate his daughter, Barbara Pierce Bush, and her husband, Craig Coyne, on the birth of their second child.

The happy couple, already parents to a two-year-old daughter named Cora Georgia, welcomed their son, Edward Finn, just a few days earlier. The heartwarming photo captures Barbara and Craig cradling their newborn son in a hospital bed, their faces beaming with love. In his caption, Bush wrote, “Welcome to the world, Edward Finn Coyne. @laurawbush and I are thrilled to be grandparents again, blessed with this new arrival on August 4, lovingly named in honor of his great-grandfathers. Barbara’s twin sister, Jenna Bush Hager, was the first to share the happy news on Monday, August 5. As a co-anchor on the Today show, Jenna expressed her excitement about becoming an aunt again on Instagram.

Jenna, 42, posted a series of photos capturing precious moments following Edward’s birth, writing, “My sister had a little mister, and I’m completely smitten with Edward Finn! .” One photo shows Jenna feeding her newborn nephew, while another captures Barbara holding Edward with Jenna looking on lovingly. A third photo in the gallery shows Edward peacefully resting in his mother’s arms.

Though Jenna didn’t share further details about her nephew’s birth, the photos radiate the family’s joy. According to Today.com, Edward was seen wearing a hat from NYU Langone Health, hinting that Barbara may have given birth at the renowned New York City hospital.

George W. Bush and his wife, Laura, have always expressed their delight in becoming grandparents. When Barbara and Craig’s daughter, Cora, was born, the former president and first lady released a joint statement sharing their happiness.
